THE STORY OF THE WINDSOR HUM -

Posts

We all hear differently due to individual variability.  The Windsor hum may affect one person and not the other.

The media keeps reporting that it is ‘back’, but it’s ALWAYS there…ever persistent.  However, it comes in varying intensities, and shows up in different locations throughout the year.  I can see how the media perceives this as a sound that comes ‘back’, but in reality that is not the case.

Low frequency sound is very misunderstood. There is typically a lot of ridicule when it comes to people being bothered by low frequency sound.  In the case of the Windsor Hum, even after two tests proved that it existed, people were still skeptical!  The truth is that some people can’t hear this ‘hum’ because they are not sensitive to low frequency sounds, but this doesn’t mean that it’s not affecting them.

If the ‘hum’ sounded like nails dragging along a chalkboard, then it would be something most people would be able to relate to, but this sound is so low that it’s not only being heard, it’s being felt.
